Our services are structured around three flexible models to meet your family's needs:Pay-As-You-Go (Ad-Hoc): Billed at our standard hourly rate as services are requested and rendered –– ideal for quick targeted projects or immediate needs.Pre-Paid Retainer Blocks: Offers a preferred, discounted hourly rate when purchasing a block of time in advance for larger engagements, with short-term and long-term needs being identified and managed over time.Monthly Stewardship Subscription: A flat monthly stewardship fee that secures our ongoing “on-call” availability, basic administrative tracking, and secure credential vaulting, once the initial implementations have been completed.To promote total financial clarity, we align on scope and priorities prior to beginning work, and our advisory duties remain strictly limited to the active scope authorized and funded by the client. Because our services focus exclusively on home environment stewardship and operational logistics rather than clinical care, we do not bill Medicare, Medicaid, or health insurance directly. However, upon request, we provide itemized courtesy statements with standardized service descriptions that clients can submit to private Long-Term Care Insurance (LTCI) providers for independent reimbursement consideration. Reimbursement remains strictly subject to the terms of your individual insurance policy and is not guaranteed by Holland Living.Our Billing Fairness Commitment: We believe in transparent, value-driven partnerships, which is why we apply two unique billing protections to your invoices and retainer accounts:Single-Person Rate Waiver: We apply a single-person rate to all back-office administration, research, custom roadmap preparation, off-site errands, phone calls, and all travel time—even when both of our co-founders participate concurrently.Blended Team Rate: When a site visit requires both of our co-founders onsite concurrently, services are billed at a single, discounted blended hourly rate (rather than doubling the billable hours). This process typically takes approximately 6 to 10 hours to complete. During this billable engagement, we evaluate your physical home environment, technology setups, and property safety needs (non-clinical) to build your customized Home Environment Roadmap, organizing priorities into clear “Now, Soon, and Someday” stages. We do not provide clinical medical care, medical plans, or hands-on personal homemaker services. Instead, we coordinate the physical home environment to structurally, operationally, and technologically support the legal, financial, and healthcare strategies built by your professional team. If a client requires clinical care plans, hands-on personal care, or specialized health and placement guidance, we actively collaborate with or warm-refer to trusted external specialists and care partners.

What happens to unused retainer hours if our family's needs change?

We only recommend retaining us for hours we’ve estimated for the scope you are ready to move forward with. However, we understand that life can shift quickly. While pre-paid blocks are non-refundable, your investment is fully protected. If an engagement ends before your pre-paid retainer block is fully utilized, unused hours automatically convert into a 12-Month Virtual Stewardship Bank. This allows you, your authorized representative, or designated fiduciaries to draw upon our strategic advisory and administrative stewardship services remotely whenever needed, helping preserve the full value of your investment. Rights to the Virtual Stewardship Bank can also be formally assigned to a designated successor fiduciary or estate representative.

Who hires and pays the third-party contractors and specialists you recommend?

Holland Living acts strictly as your independent coordinator and advocate. We do not manufacture products, perform licensed trade construction, or assume legal liability for third-party workmanship. We accept zero referral fees or vendor kickbacks, so our recommendations are always 100% aligned with your best interests.

Can Holland Living assist our family if the primary decision-maker or Power of Attorney lives out of state?
